I think small town parade's exemplify "Americana" at it's best. Here in Pawtuxet Villiage Rhode Island, were I live, each
summer we celebrate the "Gaspee Day Parade", which commemorates the colonist's burning of the British Ship
H.M.S. Gaspee, in June of 1792. Happening right down the road from where I live, it's long been considered to be an early
example of the colonist's displeasure living under the King of England's rule, which would culminate a few short year's later
into The Revolutionary War and the birth of our Nation.
Picture's are from the 04', and 05' edition's of the parade.
